The Source

Dumerso washing station is located near the town of Yirga Cheffe, Ethiopia.  Many small farms from the surrounding area contribute to this locally-owned, family-run mill. Dumerso have been shifting their efforts more towards dry-processing. This lot is a prime example of the intense flavors this technique can produce.

The Cup

The dry fragrance from this roast is full of fruits, from tropical pineapple to peach. Cocoa aroma emerges when ground, hinting at cup flavors-to-come. Wetting the coffee brings out strong berry notes. The cup itself is equally full of fruit flavors that shift dramatically as the coffee cools. Bittersweet chocolate remains throughout this thick-bodied coffee.
